29km of underground links have been planned within the
city to improve accessibility and allow pedestrians to move around the city in
all- weather comfort. The underground pedestrian network will help to achieve
seamless integration with MRT stations.

The Marina Coastal
Expressway (MCE) linking motorists to the heart of the downtown at Marina South
will open on 29 December.
The new 5km MCE, which will be
Singapore’s tenth expressway, includes a 420-metre underwater tunnel that
crosses the Marina Bay seabed.
It will be linked to Kallang-Paya
Lebar Expressway (KPE), East Coast Parkway (ECP) and the Ayer Rajah
Expressway (AYE).

Tanjong Pagar Centre set to be the tallest at 290m
A SKYSCRAPER to
be built on top of Tanjong Pagar MRT station will be Singapore's tallest
building by the time it is finished in 2016. The 64-storey Tanjong Pagar Centre
will stand at 290m, will narrowly edge out One Raffles Place, Republic Plaza
and United Overseas Bank Plaza One, which are all 280m tall. It will also trump
Singapore's tallest residential skyscraper, the 245m Marina Bay Tower, which is
part of The Sail @ Marina Bay and boasts 70 storeys. Before this, the maximum

DBS Marina Regatta 2013
This year, DBS is hosting the largest international dragon
boat competition at Marina Bay on May 18 and 19. There will be 130 teams from
all over the world taking part in this event. Besides dragon boat, there will be
